I frequently ask myself, how long can I continue dressing as I do? I am 48 and still enjoy fashion, looking my best, feeling attractive and sexy. The answer I came up for myself is “as long as I want to”. I think about Iris Appfel who is in her mid 90’s and she still is a fashion icon. If you love fashion you have every right to continue looking your best what ever that means to you. There are no rules. We have had several women in their 70’s buy the Bra Bridge because they care how they look, they still want to look their best. That to me is so refreshing and exciting. Women as we age still want to be seen, not become invisible.
Personally, I love patterns mixed with fun costume jewelry I have several real pieces; my engagement ring, a beautiful emerald necklace my husband ought me for our 20th, and gorgeous diamond necklace from my grandmother and that’s about it. I rarely wear the real stuff because I afraid I’ll lose them. I like my fun pieces, if they break, oh well.
I just celebrated my son’s high school graduation and I needed to really think about what to wear. I did not want to stand out too much (and possibly embarrass him), but I don’t care for a conservative look either. I chose a pretty black and white dress (with my Bra Bridge naturally) and looked and felt fabulous.
Ladies, PLEASE do not feel you need to look old just because you are getting old. We must celebrate our age, after all, the alternative is not good.

Criminal defense attorney Judith Samson felt it was, well, criminal the way her buxom figure added pounds to her appearance.
"I would catch a glimpse of my chest in a window or mirror on my way to court and I wasn't happy with how wide my breast made me look," according to Samson. To eliminate the issue, she came up with a super simple solution. She began sewing a tiny, non-stretch piece of material between the inner edge of the cups of her bras.
